HAIR

It's
best to shampoo your hair 6 days out of 7. It
sometimes tends to cause more damage if your shampoo
and condition your hair every day. A good idea
is to get an empty bottle (of shampoo, conditioner,
etc.) fill it half with shampoo, one-fourth with
conditioner, and one-fourth with water. Use it
to condition and shampoo your hair two or three times
a week; it gives a less harsh shampoo.
 |
When
you just get out of the shower, make sure you use a
comb, not a brush. Brushes on wet hair tend to
cause more damage. Also a good idea, if you have
long hair, comb from the ends of your hair up to the
roots. Start at the bottom and gently work your
way up. |
 |
Get
a trim at least every six to eight weeks for the most
healthy hair. |
 |
Consult
a professional before trying to highlight, permanently
dye, or perm hair. THE BEST RESULTS COME WITH A
PROFESSIONAL. Trying to do it yourself may
not come with good results in the long run.
 |
ARE
THOSE LITTLE HAIRS THAT STICK UP OUT OF PONYTAILS
BOTHERING YOU? Use a body spritz or gel on a
toothbrush or close bristled brush and comb them back. |
 |
Try
to, if your blow dryer has the option (which most do)
blow dry your hair on cool. It is MUCH less
damaging, all though it may take longer, it's worth
it. Do it for your hair! |
 |
To
get more volume in your hair, try turning your head
upside down while blow drying. What I do, is lay
on your back, on your bed, laying your head off the
edge of the bed while I blow dry. You can always
brush it later, but it gives great volume if your hair
goes limp every morning. |
 |
Try
to use natural bristled brushes and combs; they
are a lot easier on your scalp. |
